Who We Are

The Portteus Psychiatry Group provides mental health evaluation and treatment services for children, adolescents, and adults.  We begin with a thorough diagnostic assessment to understand you, your situation and background. During this evaluation, we listen to your challenges or concerns, and also changes and improvements you and/or family hope to achieve though treatment or therapy.

Led by trained, experienced, and credentialed members of our clinical staff, our evaluation results in a plan for progress that is specifically created for you and/or your family.  This plan may include options ranging across numerous areas of our expertise, from individual therapy, play therapy, family therapy, medication management, or a combination of these things, influenced by your goals, your needs, and your preferences.

Dr. Portteus is the founder of the Portteus Psychiatry Group and is a specialized, trusted and experienced physician who diagnoses and treats emotional, behavioral, and cognitive problems experienced by children, adolescents, and adults.  He works with skilled associates within his practice who offer additional specialties, particularly for families desiring therapy alone, or therapy in addition to medication management.
